Do you have Diabetes? Have you ever had a Heart Attack?

We are looking for all types of people that have been diagnosed with Diabetes and have previously had a heart attack.  Eligible participants may be compensated for their time and travel.

What is TACT2?

TACT2 is a clinical study for people with diabetes who have survived a previous heart attack. The study combines an investigation medication with oral vitamins (or Placebo) to potentially reduce your risk of new heart events – such as another heart attack, chest pains, or heart surgery.

The study medication is delivered through an IV Infusion and is designed to remove toxins and heavy metals from the blood, which may play a role in heart disease.

The TACT2 Clinical trial is being funded by the National Institiutes of Health (NIH), and receives no support from pharmaceuticals or other commercial drug companies.

If you choose to joint the TACT2 study, you will receive all study-related care and medications at no cost. As part of the study, you will visit your local study center once a week for your IV infusions, over a period of 40 weeks (during this time, you will continue taking current diabetes and heart medications). You will also be compensated for your time and effort to attend these weekly visits.
